Protect your Small Business from Cyber Threats

I am always on the lookout for ways to better protect our business and our clients businesses.

A couple of weeks ago I came across Cyber Wardens. The Cyber Wardens program is a simple education tool designed to build a cyber-smart small business workforce.

It is endorsed and supported by The Australian Government (Australian Cyber Security Centre), COSBOA (Council of Small Business Organisations Australia), Telstra & Commonwealth Bank.

I enrolled for and completed the FREE training offered about Cyber protection.  Most things I already knew about, but it was a great way to provide simple and easy to follow information for all levels of computer users.  I have asked my whole team to complete the training before the end of April.

The course was FREE, simple, and easy to follow, and took about 40 minutes to complete.

I encourage you to check it out and introduce it to your whole team, and even your family, as education is a major key in protecting yourself and your business.

Cyber Wardens is a great first steps to start educating you and your team what Cyber threats to look for, because let’s face it, you don’t think enough like a cyber-criminal to know what they look like. Click the Logo to go to Cyberwardens....

There may be some things you and your team will find out in the course that you should be doing, that may be a little too technical for you to implement on your own.  Our team here at Connelly’s, with over 70 years combined experience is here to help.

We can help provide and perform all the “technical” stuff for you like:

Backup Data Regularly (Automatically)

Update Browser & Operating Systems to lock your digital doors – (Pro-Active Monitoring & Protection Plans)

Add extra Protection to your Digital Locks (Setup MFA)

Don’t Share or Re-Use Passwords (Password Creation/Manager application)

After you complete the Cyber Wardens course – send us a copy of your Certificate, we would love to hear that you Passed and are better equipped to protect yourself.

If you need some help after that – give Steve a call on 6382 4099
